“Mumpreneur” Reaches Finals of National Business Awards
Mum and entrepreneur, Julie Batten, has earned herself a place in the final line-up of The Mumpreneur Awards, an annual ceremony aimed at celebrating parents throughout the UK who manage the difficult task of juggling business with family life. The mother of 3 from Devon, runs Mini Moo & Co, a company focused on supplying Baby Products to Parents around the world.
Julie has been shortlisted for the Reach category, which is open businesses that trade on an International basis. Having launched Mini Moo & Co UK in March 2012 she set about building the business to both manufacture and supply great brands to parents, Julie hopes she has what it takes to walk away with the prize.
As well as being shortlisted for this category,Julie is also in with a chance of winning the title of The Inspirational Business Mum 2014, which will be awarded to the mum who is an inspiration to all women in business, and could walk away with a fantastic prize.
Having reached the finals of The Mumpreneur Awards, Julie said “I am delighted to have been recognised for my achievements in setting up and running a business alongside having young children, and I’m really excited to find out if I’ve won the award!”
Judging Julie’s entry will be a panel of top entrepreneurs but she’ll have to wait until 8th November, when the winners will be announced at The Mumpreneur Conference and Awards, being held at the Heart of England Centre in Warwickshire. This event is open to all parents who juggle family and business, and also for those interested in taking the plunge and starting up.
